The Bible says: John 3:16
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.“
Jesus said: John 10:10
"I came so that everyone would have life, and have it in its fullest."
Since God planned for us to have peace and real life right now, why are so many people hurting or angry inside?
Our Problem...Separation From God
God created us in His own image so we can know Him personally and have a joy-filled life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him, but gave us a will and a freedom of choice. Since the beginning of time we have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. That choice results in separation from God and ends in misery.
The Bible says: Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23
“All of us have sinned, and fallen short of God's holiness.”
The Bible tells us that when we disobey God we are in a sinful state, and that separates us from Him.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Through the ages, people have tried many ways to bridge this gap and reach God -- without success. Our own attempts can never unite us with God.
God provided a way to reach Him, and that way was Jesus dying on the Cross for us.
The Bible clearly states: 1Timothy 2:5
“For, there is one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus.”
Jesus Died For Us: Romans 14:9
He died on the Cross and rose from the grave, paying the penalty for our sin and bridging the gap between God and people.
“Christ died and rose again for this very purpose—to be Lord both of the living and of the dead.”
You see, God has provided the ONLY way – but, we must make the choice!
Our Response...Give Ourselves to Christ
We must trust Jesus Christ to forgive our sins and determine to obey Him. That way we can be reconciled back to God and find eternal peace and Salvation for our soul.
The Bible says: Romans 10:9-10
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. “
It is as simple as A-B-C, Admit…Believe…Confess
1. Admit you are a sinner and need God’s forgiveness.
2. Believe that His Son, Jesus Christ, died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave. Believe and receive.
3. Confess that Jesus Christ is the only way to God and commit your life to Him. He is now your personal Savior.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I come to you in the Name of Jesus, confessing that
I am a sinner and have fallen short of Your glory.
I owe a debt that I cannot humanly pay for,
but Jesus paid the debt for me
when He died on the Cross at Calvary, and rose from the dead.
Father, I repent of all my sins and ask for your forgiveness.
I now receive You, Jesus, as my personal Savior.
I invite Your Holy Spirit to come into my life,
and break the power of sin off of my life.
Holy Spirit, give me the power to live for Jesus.
